Unbeaten start for Worksop Town Under 19s
The young Tigers started with a 3-3 draw against a physical Pinxton side.
Worksop overcame a 1-0 deficit at half-time to race into a 3-1 lead inside 15 minutes of the restart, with goals from Reece Twell (2) and Connor Thompson; Jack Warwick scoring for Pinxton.

Hide AdHowever, James Curry pulled one goal back for Pinxton with 10 minutes remaining, then Jack Warwick, who should have been sent off minutes earlier for a bad foul on Sam Jepson, equalised in the 90th minute when he headed home.
On Monday evening Worksop recorded a comprehensive 5-0 win against a hard working Southwell City side.
Tigers made the best possible start when Adam Browne put them one up after only three minutes.
Further goals by Luke Goulty and Twell gave Worksop a comfortable 3-0 lead at half-time.

Hide AdSecond half goals from Chris Howard and a second from Twell completed the scoring.
Southwell were denied a consolation goal when Sam Virtue’s strike from the edge of the penalty area crashed against the bar with Jepson well beaten.
The U19s next game is on Thursday, 13th September, at home (at Shirebrook Town FC) against Pinxton in the first round of the League Cup (7.45pm).
