Competing in the 57kg category, the Boston ABC junior thought she had done enough to win her semi-final against Aston ABC’s Nimco Ali in Liverpool’s Croxteth Leisure Centre.
In the bout Finch was relentless, forcing Ali to retreat at every offensive attack.

Also on Saturday, Boston ABC boxers were in action at Harwich.
Dylan Harmon faced Kie Bryan of Sudbury ABC.
The home boxer won the first round, which spurred on Harmon to raise his game.
The second round was his, but he had to stay focused for the final round to win the contest.
However, Bryan claimed the decision.
Kian Penn faced John-Lee Cunningham from All Comers ABC.

Hide AdPenn boxed well and his unique style causes all sorts of problems for the opposition, although Cunningham claimed the split decision.
Boston’s Billy Pagden claimed a unanimous decision against Gavin Hewitt of Harwich ABC, forcing the referee to administer a standing count in the second and third rounds.
On Friday night Callum Parker and Jimmy Britton were in action at the March ABC show.
The atmosphere was electric, as the venue was packed to the rafters.

Hide AdJimmy faced Tarley Smith of March ABC in a somewhat shabby affair where Smith used spoiling tactics as he constantly leaned and pushed at Britton, with both boxers deducted a point.
Smith suffered a bloody nose in the conflict but still managed a unanimous verdict.
Boston’s Parker faced Connor Brazil, also of March ABC, in a great contest with both boxers showing great courage and strong offensive displays.
Parker took the unanimous decision after his opponent was given two standing counts.
Tommy Upsall was also in action in South Normanton.
He faced Lewis Holland of South Normanton School of Boxing.

Hide AdUpsall settled in to his orthodox style, causing problems for Holland, the Boston pugilist was in control from start to finish and recording another unanimous decision.
The previous weekend Ashley Goddard (pictured)travelled to Lincoln to box on a show held by Bracebridge ABC.
Goddard was matched against Jack Johnson from the home club.
Johnson started well but soon felt the raw power from Goddard, which left the home boxer struggling to have an impact in the contest.
Goddard was handed a unanimous decision.
