In pictures: snow sweeps across Scotland and the north of England

Large parts of Scotland and northern England have been hit by snow yesterday and this morning. The unpredictable weather has caused major disruption across the country, but that hasn't stopped amateur photographers from getting outdoors and sharing snowy scenes on Twitter and Instagram.
