Woodhall Spa builder fined for breaking non-molestration order - just one day after it was imposed
Anthony Machin, 48, of Witham Road, admitted breaking the order when he appeared at Skegness Magistrates’ Court on November 3.
Mark Salt, prosecuting, said that the order, preventing Machin from going within 100 metres of Tor O Moor Road in Woodhall Spa, was imposed at Lincoln Family Court on October 5, but the next day he went to the house to get mail from a bin outside the house.

Mitigating, Terry Boston said Machin had not had time to divert the post to his new address when he saw the postman who told him that he had delivered mail for him at the previous address, which the order referred to.
“He knew his partner was not there but he knew he should not have gone home, but he thought there might be mail there for his work as a jobbing builder,” said Mr Boston.
The magistrates fined Machin £100 and ordered him to pay £285 in costs and court charges.
