Barnetby young farmer receives top national award
Out of 25,000 members, it was Tom Wells who picked up the National Senior Member of the Year title.
A delighted Tom told the Rasen Mail: “The judges said I won because I epitomise the motto of the YFC - Fun, Learning and Achievement.

“We have also won many competitions and trophies, including the decorated trailer parade at Lincolnshire Show, as well as raising over £1,000 for charity in my time as a member.”
The 26-year-old mixed arable farmer picked up his award at the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs convention weekend in Blackpool.
To get there, Tom won the Lincolnshire round and then the East Midlands round.
