READER LETTER: Enderby Crescent, no to footpath closure
While there have been incidents in the area the solution cannot be closing off a footpath that is heavily used and for which there is no suitable alternative.
Walking via Pingle Hill which is dangerously steep and dark at night is not a viable alternative route.

Hide AdThe provision of CCTV in the area where incidents take place, improved lighting, the fluorescent footpath lights and out of date and give poor illumination and fencing off the children’s play area, as happens elsewhere in the town, plus the appearance of PCSOs from time to time should be sufficient to resolve the anti-social behaviour issue. I trust that following the public meeting held in the new Life Church on Wednesday the district council will reconsider the appropriate level of action required.
