High street retailer closes store in Boston, but plans appear in place for unit
The unit on the Strait Bargate edge of the Market Place is currently standing empty, but planning permission has been awarded by Boston Borough Council to Ramsdens Financial Ltd for alterations to it.
Ramsdens has more than 100 branches throughout the UK, the closest in Lincoln.

Hide AdIt sells new and secondhand jewellery, but also offers a mix of financial services – customers can get travel money there, arrange a pawnbroking lawn, cash a cheque, or sell unwanted jewellery.
The business was awarded planning permission for a replacement shop front and signage at the unit, as well as internal alterations, in July.
The Standard has approached Ramsdens, but the business has declined to comment.
Claire’s has not yet responded to enquiries.
The closure of Claire’s follows the appearance of closing down signs at Bonmarché in the Pescod Square Shopping Centre.
