Car sells for three times the estimate after almost 60 years in Louth family
As reported at the end of February, the Austin A35 car belonged to Miss Dorothy Wilkinson who passed away last year - and she had inherited it from her mother. Her family had owned the vehicle since it was bought new in 1958.
Miss Wilkinson’s family were well-known in the area for having a bakery and confectionery business in Eastgate, which closed in the 1970s.

However, the winning bid ended up being a whopping £1,550, having attracted a large crowd in addition to both phone and internet bidders. It finally sold to a private buyer from the south of the country.
