Act Now impress all with A Christmas Tale
Act Now is a special needs theatre company whose members all have learning difficulties of varying degrees.
They have staged many shows at Gainsborough’s Trinity Arts Centre over the last 10 years, but unfortunately last year’s Christmas production was cancelled due to the weather conditions.

Not only did they pull off a terrific show but they raised over £200 towards their funds.
An Act Now Spokesman said that it was a fantastic evening.
“Everyone performed very well,” he said.
“They all love doing it so much and you can really tell, as they’ve all improved so much over the years.”
He continued: “We’d always encourage anyone who wants to help out or join to please come forward. We always need more young people - although we’re all still young at heart.”

Together, with the help of a magic fairy, they bring toys to life, rescue a talking doll and save Christmas.
“It was a really good story for everyone to act out and the audience loved it. There was such a good turn-out.”
He added: “We’d like to give a special thanks to Coun Trevor Young for coming at such short notice and presenting raffle prizes.”
