Donington school now has its own defibrillator
The family of Year 7 student Ben Laud have been regular fundraisers for children’s heart charity Heartlink, since Ben had a successful procedure after suffering a potentially fatal heart problem when just nine.
They held a fashion show to fund a defibrillator for the school, but when approaching businesses for raffle prizes, were stunned by the generosity of Quadring firm Crossroads Nurseries who offered to pay for the device.
